Aesthetics
Explained

In simple terms, we can define dental aesthetics as a procedure to enhance the overall appearance of the teeth. The primary purpose of dental aesthetics is to keep the teeth aligned, improve their structure, and beautify their color and shape so that you can smile confidently.

Dental aesthetics is both a preventive and a restorative measure as it can be utilized to correct missing teeth and other similar problems.

But it is noteworthy to highlight that aesthetic dentistry is not the same as cosmetic dentistry.

Aesthetic dentistry is any method used for enhancing smile through treatments that would be necessary. On the contrary, cosmetic dentistry involves correcting existing or old dental works such as veneers, crowns, bridges etc which may not be particularly pleasant to the eyes.

Various Segments Of
Aesthetics

1. Cosmetic Smile Designing

Cosmetic dentistry can enhance more than just your appearance. Having a smile you love increases your confidence and can do wonders for your self-esteem. Smile design is a cosmetic dental procedure that corrects teeth imperfections and restores your dental health and appearance. It involves a customized treatment and long-lasting results for a straighter, whiter, and natural-looking smile.

Smile design could take three weeks to several months to complete. It depends on your goals and any dental problems we must address first.

2. Teeth Whitening / Bleaching

We at our clinic provide teeth whitening and bleaching options for the patients interested in getting a whiter shade for their teeth. Bleaching the teeth in the clinic takes about 40. Those who want to have a more lasting whitening result have the option of getting veneers placed for better results.

3. Closure of Diastema

Diastema refers to a gap between your teeth. Gaps can occur anywhere in your mouth, but they’re most common between your two front teeth. This condition is usually a cosmetic concern, but sometimes, it’s related to gum disease. Diastema treatments include dental bonding, porcelain veneers and braces.

This procedure involves removing all the pulp in the pulp chamber temporarily for the sake of pain relief. Pulpectomy is typically called for when pulpotomy isn’t an option and all of the tooth’s pulp has become infected, inflamed, and disease-ridden. After removal, the canals are medicated and cleaned.

Sometimes, dentists do pulpectomy on primary or milk teeth. In such cases, the pulp is replaced with resorbable material.
